The Jute Studio is an initiative to support women from rural backgrounds and empower them by creating self-employment in sustainable ways and promote ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan.’ The Foundation collaborated with the National Jute Board, the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, to promote the Jute Integrated Development Scheme (JIDS). This program aims to extend the existing Skill Development program and impart skills to enthusiastic women in the manufacturing and marketing of Jute products. Initially, Twenty women were trained under this program for 80 days and received certificates from the National Jute Board. Among these twenty trainees, ten trainees sought support from the Foundation to implement their skills and earn a living. Therefore, the Foundation started its flagship program Jute Studio in 2021 to facilitate the trainees with financial resources, equipment, raw material, and marketing. This program was inaugurated by Sri. Koppula Eshwar Garu, Honorable Minister for Scheduled Castes Development, Minority Welfare, Disabled Welfare & Senior Citizens Welfare Government of Telangana. The Jute Studio helped the trainees procure orders from different corporates requesting for jute products worth almost Rs.12 lakhs.
