WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY
K.C.PULLAIAH FOUNDATION in association with the UN Environment & World Environment Day is organizing an event on World Environment Day on with the proposed theme of #BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION on 10th June 2023 at 08:00 am.
Plastic pollution represents a pressing global challenge that demands immediate action. Governments, industries, and individuals must prioritize sustainable alternatives, reduce plastic production, promote recycling, and enforce stringent waste management practices. Education and awareness campaigns are essential to foster responsible consumer behavior. By collectively addressing plastic pollution, we can safeguard marine life, preserve habitats, and mitigate the detrimental effects on the environment and human health. Only through concerted efforts can we pave the way for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
With a mission I am a salvager to contribute towards the environment, K.C.Pullaiah Foundation took up the challenge of this event as the “Anti-plastic pollution championship” with a hashtag of the campaign being “#leaveplasticlivelife”.

OUTLINE OF THE CAMPAIGN
- A form will be rolled out to youngsters across Hyderabad, Telangana where the individuals will be registering as the ‘I am a salvager’.
- The registered salvagers will be collecting the plastic from the first week of June and the collected plastic will be deposited at the venue.
- The collected plastic will be handed over to the associated company for the process of recycling and reusing it for the construction of the roads and plastic bricks.
- As environment day falls on the 5th of June which is a Monday the event will be held on the 10th of June i.e. Saturday.
- The associate company will be the fundraiser for this event.
REWARDS & RECOGNIZATION
- Rs.50,000/- , Rs.25,000/- & Rs.10,000/- cash prize for the highest plastic collecting salvager.
- Participation & welcome kits for salvagers.
- Certificate of participation for salvagers enrolling and attending the program.
